Pumpkin Patch with Lilly's Class!

 My blue eyed little man!

 Lilly's Class!

Lilly being rescued by her friend Johnathan, I think Gary will be in trouble in High School!

Owen and I had the pleasure of going to the pumpkin patch with Lilly's class. What an amazing group of kids! I am so excited for the future of these young people. I pray they stay excited about learning and just continue to grow in faith and maturity! God blessed us with a beautiful Fall day here in Colorado Springs the weather was perfect for romping and sliding and petting the sheep and alpaca.

Green Hand to Blue Hand

Last time this year I had a green hand dying Lilly's Halloween costume this year I have a blue hand! Lilly wants to be Cinderella and keeping with our tradition of making our own costumes I am once again dying fabric. I wish I had taken a picture of the dress and shirt before I dyed them. They were off white. The dress looked like it was a flower girl dress and the shirt came from the womens sections, I only need the lace sleeves. I am excited to see how this is going to turn out! Owen is going to be Dennis the Menace fitting right!? I was also thinking about resurrecting the rodeo clown costume for Owen as well. Every once in a while he puts it on and it's so funny to see him in it! Any who this is the beginning of a sparkling Lillarella costume, and my blue hand that I will be living with for the next three days. Next year I buy plastic gloves!

We LOVE Netflix!!!

Ok WE LOVE Netflix!!!!!!!! I Love to pay this bill! I kid you not, I highly recommend Netflix. You get more than your monies worth. We get unlimited movies on our x-box, on the computer and on the wii! And on top of that we get two at a time in the mail unlimited per month and it only takes one business day to get them. In an economy where people are struggling to pay bills, and buy groceries this is a company that does great business for an amazing price. You would think I am getting paid to write this, well I am not. I like good companies with great service and this is one of them!

II Corinthians 12:9-10

(II Corinthians 12:9-10)  He has said to me, "“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”" Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me.  Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

Well this has been an eventful week. Owen has been icky all week long. He has had a bit of a stomach thing. My dad finally had his shoulder surgery and seems to be doing really well. And then I got a phone call from my brother. No details of course but I worry about the events of the world and how it impacts him and the girls. We live in a very strange time right now. I have been praying allot for the world lately so that all people would wake up and see God intentions for us. Today I feel very close to my God. I know that in weakness and uncertainty I am the strongest.

National Walk To School Day!!!

Lilly's school participated in National Walk to School Day! God gave us a beautiful morning to walk and the kids really enjoyed it. Along the way were different checkpoints. They had firemen, police officers, EMT's and teachers talking about safety and strangers. They handed out candy, pencils, notebooks and workbooks. It was really put together very well for first thing in the morning. I forgot I had the camera so I am sorry for bad pictures. I took these right at the very end before we got to school.

Lilly reading to Owen

Lilly and Owen both love for us to read to them but since Lilly is really starting to read strongly by her self, Owen has decided that he likes Lilly to read to him! Lilly is in an advanced reading group and has a second grade reading buddy!

Join Us This Sunday at Radiant Church!!

Please Prayerfully consider joining us at Radiant Church this Sunday for a new series called Another Dimension. Gary and I have been praying for this series and both are believing this to be a very powerful message for this particular time in our world!

Oh no! A mom moment!

Well today my heart was broken and proud at the same time. My little Lilly woke up this morning and said, "Mommy I think you could drop me off in the carpool lane." Oh my goodness I think my heart stopped! Surely she would change her mind when we reached the school, but she didn't! That little tiny blond hair blue eyed little girl with her pink and purple heart backpack met the world all by herself! She was so tiny walking along. I was so proud of her. I did wait a minute parked and snuck in the school just to be sure she made it and indeed she did! There she was at her desk already working! My little pink baby girl is growing up to be such a pretty and smart young lady! Wow what a blessing she is, I learn more and more from her each day!~

Oh How We Love Our Coffee!

You grind your coffee beans in your mouth

You sleep with your eyes open

You have to watch videos in fast-forward

You can take a picture of yourself ten feet away without using the timer

You've worn out your third pair of sneakers this week

Your eyes stay open when you sneeze

You can type 60 words per minute...with your feet

.You don't sweat, you percolate

You've built a miniature city out of plastic stirrers

You channel suf faster without a remote

You have a picture of your coffee mug on your coffee mug

I introduce Gary as my coffee mate!!!

Ice Cream Reward

Gary and I are so incredible blessed and proud of Lilly and Owen. They both are changing and learning so much. Owen is reciting bible verses, and he love for us to read to him. He has made lots of friends in church and is one of the sweetest people I know! Lilly Grace is becoming a beautiful young lady. She is learning so much. Every night she has about twenty minutes of homework that she loves to do. She is learning addition, subtraction, reading, writing, Spanish, music and geography. We could not be more happy with Lilly's progress in school, and she is loving it. Lilly has also become a WORSHIP LEADER!!!! Yes I am a proud mama!!! My baby girl gets up on the platform every Sunday morning in front of about sixty to seventy kids and sings and does choreography ! What an amazing journey the Lord has blessed us with, we are in no hurry for this stage of our life to be over we are just going to use God's good grace and enjoy every minute with our little family!

Oh Yeah!

I  am so tooting my own horn, meatless fajitas were awesome!!! TooT TooT!! :)

Mini Vacation to Estes Park

We are getting used to this vacation thing! We spent the weekend in Estes Park and it was amazing! I am a little ashamed to say as a native of Colorado I have never been there before. It is truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever been. The Elk and mountains are nothing short of God's beauty and Grace. Looking at the majestic mountain scape's reminded us of just how small we are and how big our God is! The best part of this trip is that it's only like two hours away! And we found our favorite Starbucks of all, outside is an awesome patio right next to the river, now that is a God thing!

My Little Man

Owen is so funny, he will play and play in his room! He loves to sit and drive his cars. He is pretty awesome, we have allot of fun just he and I now that Lilly is in school. He does ask me every once in a while where his Willy is!

Lilly's 1st Open House at School

Gary and I are utterly amazed at what Lilly is learning in school. She is learning geography,Spanish, and music theory on top of all Core Knowledge. She is so excited every night to do her homework! Yes she does have homework even in Kindergarten, however it is only about 20 minutes a night just to review what she learned during the day and to keep parents involved. We have a virtual campus and can check Lilly's progress at anytime. I tell you any doubts Gary and I may have had about this school has been put to rest! God is so good!!!
