Pray for voters to have the wisdom to see through political rhetoric and clearly understand truth:
• Pray for deception and distortion to be exposed and integrity to be revealed in all the different campaigns.
• Pray that there will be a spirit of truthfulness in the elections, by the candidates, their campaign staffs and on the part of all media.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight. (Prov. 12:22)
• Pray that the voters will know and correctly discern the true character of each candidate on the ballot.
It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by
righteousness. (Prov. 16:12)
• Pray that voters will carefully consider candidates’ ability to lead.
• Pray that believers will earnestly pray for direction on candidates and issues, placing biblical
standards ahead of personal interests or partisan preferences.
Pray against lying, deceiving or seducing spirits that would blind voters to the truth.
