Went Christmas Shopping Today

That's right and I never left my little house. The best type of shopping for someone who hates crowds. I sent everything to my office since the little people can read. That and the have big mouths. Next I need to visit Wal-Mart and do a layaway. And done I will be!!

Praying for our Nation October 19, 2012

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings. (Daniel 2:20-21)

Friday, Oct. 19
Pray for the preservation and protection of marriage as God designed it:
• Repent for the widespread infidelity, abuse and divorce among Christians.
• Pray for successful campaigns and the election of candidates who support the institution of
marriage as ordained by God.
And He (Jesus) answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together let not man separate.” (Matt. 19:4-6)
• Pray for the passage of voter referendums supporting traditional marriage and the failure of initiatives to redefine marriage to include same-sex unions.
• Pray that the Defense of Marriage Act will be upheld in the Supreme Court and enforced by future administrations.
Pray against the forces of darkness seeking to redefine God’s design for marriage:
• Come against the spiritual forces that are attacking marriages (e.g., pornography, adultery and divorce) and the institution of marriage (e.g., attempts to redefine marriage).
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil; who put darkness for light and light for darkness. (Is. 5:20)
• Come against the spirit of perversion and the lie of the enemy that is seeking to ensnare more people, especially young teens, into homosexuality.
You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. (Lev. 18:22; also Lev. 20:13 and Deut. 23:17)
Therefore God gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie ... For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. (Rom. 1:24-27)
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites...will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Cor. 6:9-10)
• Come against attempts to impose (through laws and regulations) the acceptance, approval and celebration of homosexuality -- and to label (and criminalize) as hate speech any expressions of the biblical perspective on homosexuality.
Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, have fellowship with You? (Ps. 94:20)
• Lovingly pray for the deliverance of those caught in the lie and bondage of homosexuality.

Fast Day Five

Wow I can live without coffee! Go me go me!
Dinner tonight was the same as last night.
I know super boring! Tomorrow will be better!
I did walk in this evening from work with my little family. They said the were reading but I saw Netflix on! It's a good thing I love them.

Praying For Our Nation October 18, 2012

Thursday, Oct. 18
Pray for the election of candidates who support the sanctity of human life:
• Repent for the sins of our nation – and silence of the church – in allowing more than 5 million unborn babies to be slaughtered in America.
• Pray for the election of candidates who support the sanctity of life, including protection for unborn children.
Your eyes saw my substance being yet unformed, and in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. (Ps. 139:16)
• Pray for the election of a President and governors who will appoint judges who support the sanctity of human life -- and for the election of legislators who will not confirm judges who favor unrestricted abortion.
Pray against the culture of death being advanced through our culture and government :
• Come against the “culture of death” that is spreading ever deeper into the fabric of our land, including abortion, assisted suicide, euthanasia and suicide.
• Come against the spiritual forces behind this, including the spirits of Baal and Molech, the spirit of death and the spirit of suicide.
• Pray for the defeat of candidates who support unrestricted abortion, government funding of abortions (including government funding for abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood) and laws that require medical facilities and personnel to perform abortions against their will Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, have fellowship with You? (Ps. 94:20)

Fast Day Four

Oh my gosh I am doing really well on this fast. The food is not yucky at all, and today was the first day I did not miss my afternoon coffee.
It's amazing how God moves when we really focus and pay attention to what He is saying.
Gary is pretty amazing and has done really well with this time of fasting. And the kids not having any tv is a blessing all alone. I love the calm of our home!
Tonight's dinner was tacos
Black beans on a warm whole wheat organic wheat tortilla. Along with a corn pico de gallo fresh cilantro and avocados .

Praying for Our Nation October 17, 2012

Pray for a mighty move of the Spirit in tonight’s intercessory prayer service at Radiant.

Pray for the engagement and godly participation of believers in the election process:
• Pray that a strong burden of prayer will come upon God’s people as the elections near.
• Pray for solidarity among believers regarding moral and biblical issues.
• Pray that believers will be given the faith to believe that their voices and their votes will make a
difference in the country.
• Pray for boldness for believers to stand up -- and speak up -- in defense of godly values.
• Pray that believers will lay down their own desires and take up the desires of God. Ask that the
Lord’s purposes be accomplished in the U.S. elections.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matt. 6:10)
• Pray that all believers will do their civic and spiritual duty by seriously seeking God and turning out to vote in miraculous numbers.
Pray against discouragement, distractions and deception among believers:
• Come against the spirit of discouragement that is causing many believers to feel that the future of our country is hopeless and that neither their prayers nor their votes can make a difference.
• Come against the forces that are keeping many believers from being interested, informed or engaged in the election process – including the distractions of the world and the spirit of stupor.
• Come against the spirit of deception which causes some believers to embrace ungodly candidates and causes.

Fast Day Three

Ummm.... Coffee coffee coffee coffee coffee... Coffee is a bean right?

Any way we are doing really good on our fast. I did have a handful of nuts before my lunch break so I could continue with prayer during that hour. Gary is really doing well. Poor guy works at night and he really likes his coffee and mt. Dew. He says he is actually feeling really good! We had a really late dinner tonight because if Christmas rehearsal so we opted for strawberry and spinach salad with almonds and dried cranberries tossed with strawberry vinaigrette. God is so good and moving in our family. After church we just sat around talking and reading Lilly's new books. I love that TV is gone!!

Praying for our Nation October 16, 2012

Tuesday, Oct. 16
Pray for voters to have the wisdom to see through political rhetoric and clearly understand truth:
• Pray for deception and distortion to be exposed and integrity to be revealed.
• Pray that there will be a spirit of truthfulness in the elections, by the candidates, their campaign
staffs and on the part of all media.
Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight. (Prov.
12:22)
• Pray that the voters will correctly discern the true character of each candidate on the ballot.

Fast Day Two

I must admit fasting through lunch was very difficult. Not to mention I came home and got lunch for the kids who are on vacation this week.
But I will rejoice in my weakness and eat some nuts!
Tonight's dinner is roasted potatoes red and yellow peppers and mushrooms drizzled in olive oil.
We are blessed and praying.

Praying for our Nation October 15th prayer guide

Monday, Oct. 15
Pray for all Americans to take their vote seriously and to consider God in their voting:
• Pray for all Americans – especially believers -- to recognize the profound, lasting implication of major elections. Pray they will understand that God holds them directly responsible for the
stances and decisions of those they elect.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man rules, the
people groan. (Prov. 29:2)
• Pray for the voters in the United States that they will seek wisdom from God, that their self- interest will be laid aside for the common good and that discernment between truth and falsehood will be clear to them.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. (Ps. 33:12)
• Pray for a mighty resurgence of Americans who will honor God and stand boldly for biblical truths and the godly principles upon which this nation was founded. Pray that a great majority will awaken to harmful directions our country and its leaders have taken.
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)
• Pray for the advance voting process that begins today in Colorado, that the process will be free of fraud or errors, and that those who are voting early will be fully informed about the issues and candidates before casting their ballots.
Pray against dishonesty, deception and distortion in the campaign process:
• Bind all spirits of lying, deception, dishonesty, and distortion during the election. Ask the Lord to empower truth, honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior instead.
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matt. 16:19)
• Pray that the news media will report the facts of this election in truth, avoiding any bias in their coverage.
• Pray that during the campaigns, the truth will be revealed and lies exposed so that voters can make informed choices.
For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. (Luke 12:2)

Fast Day One

During the next twenty one days our family will be participating in an all church fast. During this fast Gary and I will faithfully be fasting:
Media-DTV has been temporally cut off again! (sorry mom)
All meat
Caffeine- Beware Starbucks stock holders.
Sugar
And we will not be eating out during this fast.
Lilly and Owen will be giving up their tv time and sweets.

Our first day went very well. We had unsweetened oatmeal and fruit for breakfast. A green salad for lunch and for dinner stuffed green peppers!

Lilly and Owen are doing devotion together at night while memorizing Exodus 20-3

Gary and I have committed to fasting food over lunch to pray and seek God.

Gorgeous Day for a Hike!

We spent almost the entire day hiking and exploring Bear Creek Park. We loved the hike on Lower Gold Camp Road. Lilly and Owen are amazing and fearless! They climbed and were able to keep up the entire time. We did not do the entire eight miles. Gary estimates we did about five to six. We started to see the park so we turned around and headed back into the woods it was simply fantastic! This was a great weekend of adventures. And yes they did manage to find yet another snake!

Up (some rambling at 2:00 am)

And not like the movie. This whole sleep thing has me so confused. Any way I am sure my problem tonight is that I watched three episodes of 48 hours hard evidence and am reading a fantastic book on worship.
This book on worship is one I just could not put down.
I know everyone close to me knows how important my relationship with Christ is. Especially honoring Him through music. The act if pure worship is so powerful I want my feelings of Christ to glow off of me when I sing. Those moments of clear self abandonment and total dependency on God is a longing that I pray for. I consistently pray for an awakening and revival that only Christ can bring. I am so thankful I never lost the music, I found a new stronger song in Him.

After I finished this fantastic book I went to check in on the kids and pray over them. This is how I found them! Together! God is just so good, I am so thankful for my life and where Gary and I are at right now. What a blessing! I was talking with a friend at church about how much we love babies and the thoughts we have of possibly having more. I think it's a nice thought but I know in my heart for us it's time to grow with Lilly and Owen. I can't imagine my life without their special hearts. I love watching them grow. My favorite thing about being a mom is watching Lilly and Owen seek God! There is just nothing on earth better than the heart of a child in Christ.
Good night (morning) all!

The Tradition Continues

I have pictures from all over the USA of Gary disobeying the signs. And now Lilly and Owen have begun to carry on the tradition!

Cave of the Winds

We had a great time at Cave of the Winds today. I read all the reviews and they were not so good. I am glad we went despite the reviews because we had a great time! The beauty of the caves and outside views were just stunning. The kids loved every second climbing all the stairs and narrow passages. We were with a small group of ten people so we felt like we were in a adventure all alone! We can't wait to go back when the kids are older and do the lantern tour. After exploring we went and had some chowder and warm drinks at one if our favorite places in Manitou. It was chilly but we sat outside and enjoyed the fall leaves and small brook one last time this year.

Don't tell Starbucks I am having an affair

My Peep

Willie is my friend at night. He and I are nocturnal together. I don't know why this is but he reminds of a chicken nugget!

Guess What I'm Doing??

Not hard right? I am wide awake again but tonight I am working on the kids musical. I am really excited and really nervous because in all honesty I don't want to let anyone down. Any way I think I have the choreography down and I announced all the lead solos last week. My friend Jen is on vacation and I am excited for her to come back and see all the work the kiddos gave done.

Last night I was super productive while I was awake I rearranged our pantry! And removed the rug under the dining room table and then dyed my hair! I am now a brunette! Gary really wants me to take a pill already! :)

Funny thing is that I am really not tired during the day. I do get run down at about two but with work and kids there is just no time for me to stop. I won't lie I do question my fatness considering I am on the go all the time. My friend Hulina says its because I drink my calories. She is right, but God help the world with out my personality in a cup!!!

Sleep will come until then I have plenty to keep me busy!
Good night friends!

Dumb Peyton Manning

Dumb Peyton made me use my unholy game language! My good thoughts of Elway have diminished and his legacy will be this mess! No more "this ones for John."
However as always it was nice to see Tom :)

Any One Awake Out There?

Lets see I have prayed, taken a hot bath, listened to worship music, prayed some more.....put away laundry and I still can't sleep. I am beginning to think this sleep thing is the cause of my headaches, hearing, stomach and weight issues. It's still early but I don't usually fall asleep until threeish.... So now I am kind of board! I don't sing again until the end of the month so I don't have to rehearse and my house is spotless. Hummmmmmmmm.... I wish someone was awake that would talk to me. Now I am totally rambling:)

PSA16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.

At least I have hope!! :)

Spring Break

I’m morning Spring Break... We had such a great time from movies to Denver and Salida. Thankful summer is right around the bend.
