Reflection

This is the first time today I have had the chance to sit down and just really reflect over our fast. God speaks to us in times when we truly devote ourselves to immersing in His Word. And during my walk with Christ I have really learned to listen and become sensitive to what Christ is asking of me.
Over the last several years I have come to know what Christ is really expecting of me as His follower. Christ has offered me an invitation to Follow Him. In Matthew 4:19 Jesus literally says Follow Me, Jesus does not want me to follow Him on my Saturday nights, my Sunday mornings and my Wednesday evening he wants every moment. And I have chosen to follow Him and His word.
I am very ashamed to say that out of my mouth had come the words you do not need a community of believers or a church to passionately purse Him. That is a lie. I am ashamed if I have ever misled any family or friends into believing that you do not need a church or community of believers on your walk with Christ.  In Romans 15:5-6 We learn the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, on accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If you surround yourself with people who don't believe passionately than you yourself become luke warm in your faith. Some of the most terrifying words in the Bible are said in Matthew 7:21-23, Not everyone who says to me, "Lord Lord," shall enter the kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day "Lord Lord' have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!"
Christ is clearly giving us a warning to passionately pursue him with our whole heart, and I will humbly accept.
Each day I have to remind myself to deny myself and pick up my cross and passionately pursue Him. This means with my whole heart, mind, body and sole. I have begun a journey of weight loss and cleansing all the yuck from my life. This means food, media, relationships, and just pure garbage that will get in the way of me passionately perusing my savior. I have been given an opportunity of redemption by the blood of the lamb. I have been given the chance to commit to the Lord as a wife and mother, daughter, sister and friend. I am committed to being different and radical. I need to know in my sole that one day I will lay exhausted at the feet of the Lord, and hear those all so blessed words.. Well done faithful servant, well done.

Something Went Really Wrong

Gary and I have not laughed this hard for such a long time. Lilly slept with her slinky and this is what it looked like this morning!

Super Bowl Bound!

We are very excited here in our little Windy Corners about the Super Bowl! I have been watching Broncos Football and jumping and screaming in my living room since I was a little girl. We had a great season together watching football with our family even if we watched from different homes and states. Gary is a Seahawks fan so this Super Bowl is going to be lots of fun. We have been waiting for this matchup for seventeen years!  Praying that the weather holds out and for a great matchup with no injuries!

Signing Off

Praising The Lord and believing in wonderful things for this next year! Gary and I fast several time through the year and we like to start our New Year off with a 21 day fast. During our fast we devote much time to prayer and worship. We are focusing on praying for powerful movement of the Holy Spirit, healing of our Nation, stronger faith for our family and growing a more passionate community of Christ followers in our church home.
During our fast we find several things to remove and give that time back to The Lord. Gary and I will both be doing a modified version if the Daniel Fast, along with fasting our lunch breaks at work. We both will also be giving up midea with the exception of the Playoff games! We are also excited that Lilly and Owen have decided to join us. They both are going to commit to an earlier bedtime and devoting that time to personal prayer. Praying for our family and friends that you to find more time to devote to Christ.
Blessings

Exhausted

For some reason I had a horrible time getting going today! I had to be at church early to sing in our 8:30 service, which I love. But today was a challenge and then my tummy started to hurt! I made it but when I came home I crashed! I hate when my family takes pictures if me sleeping, and I was so tired I did not even take my face off! I'll forgive them since they brought me coffee!!

Woah!

Leaving for work the other day it was beautiful outside! The sun was shining and it was crystal clear. The radio kept reporting on the fog... I did not see any fog I was beginning to wonder if I was listening to a station in another city. And then I saw it and I drove right into it. It was the strangest thing ever!

My Birthday

I had a very nice birthday. I had lots of FB messages, texts, e-mails and phone calls! My mom made me dinner and she and the kids made me a cake! Owen picked out my birthday card and it was Duck Dynasty! Thanks for making me feel special!

Happy New Year

We had a wonderful and quiet New Year. We played countless games of Uno and Boom Boom Balloon. We spent the day putting together leggos and watching Anne of Green Gables. We are excited for this new year, blessings to all our family and friends!
