So Funny

So I washed all the bedding today and our bed was the last to be done. I had asked Gary to grab the blankets out of the dryer while I took a bath and make the bed. Apparently the blankets were not dry so this was the alternative. I laughed, but it will work!

Sabbatical

My husband works so stinking hard! He leads our family so well and I adore him. He had the chance to go hiking and fishing alone or with some of the guys from church and they had a great time. He was in his happy place on a raft with a fishing pole. The kids and I had to get some errands done but we squeezed in breakfast.

Volunteer Picnic

We had a beautiful church picnic in Woodland Park to honor our faithful volunteers. It was a great day. My favorite part of the day was after the picnic hanging out at our friends Dustin and Kaci’s home who live in Cascade. Gary and I love the area and loved the beauty of their home. I’m so thankful for the fun, easy and sweet conversation. Sometimes I wonder if I really know people, if people are just pretending or have a mask on. Over the last 11 years or so I have never felt that way about them. It was refreshing and fun. I was thankful that we could all laugh even at dumb things!

Chessman Trail

We love to hike and we did a new trail. A couple of weeks ago we went and scouted this place because we intended to camp out. We did the trail partially a couple of weeks ago. When we went to do the hike this time we decided to go a different way. Little did we know, what looked like a trail was not. So after about a mile of pretty good incline we found ourselves on the slope of a mountain. Turning back was dangerous and going forward was dangerous. We really had only one option and that was to climb up the mountain. I am terrified of heights so I had quite the panic moment. Gary guided our no fear kids half way up the mountain and watched them climb to the road above. When the kids were safe he then stayed at the half way mark because it was too dangerous to come back for me. He told me I had to make it to him on my own. I was literally panicking because of how stinking high and steep this climb was. I was praying that the Lord would miraculously just place me  on the road. Needless to say, we all lived. We backtracked and hiked the rest of the way. It was an adventure, one that I don’t want to repeat. It really was a beautiful day, this trail takes you all along the Haymen Burn area and into the revisor. We won’t be going back, look at my face.  I was still shaking!

They Need To Stop

I’m going to need these two to stop growing! They have my heart, I purely adore them.

Happy Independence Day!

We had such a great day! Started off in Woodland Park with coffee and a sweet event at the park. We ended the day with a cookout at my parents! It’s so good to laugh and be goofy! I’m so thankful for my family!

19 Years

I’m so thankful for this man who loves me at my best and worst! He is the gentle sweet man who calms me. We celebrated our Anniversary by visiting the La Foret in Black Forrest where’re got married, we had a great dinner together and coffee at a really sweet cafe. I’m thankful for the journey God has us on.

Daisy Mae

I’m fully in love with this sweet puppy 💗
