Crock Pot Cake

Oh My GOSH!!!! I am tooting my horn!! TOOOT TOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!
Any who I wanted something good, so I search my cabinet looking for something to make. I found a Better Crocker Devil's Food cake however I had no eggs. I took a peek on line and found a recipe for a soda crock pot cake. Not appealing at first but Lilly talked me into making it. All you do is dump a soda of your choice( we used Dr. Pepper) in a cake mix cook on low for about three hours and you have this oooey gooey cake. We topped ours with coconut pecan icing. IT was fabulous!

Look What the Wind Blew In

My Maw-Maw used to say this all the time. She and Paw-paw would come over ring the door bell with that special ring and say "Look What the Wind Blew In." My grandparents were famous for bringing "Care Packages" These "Care Packages" had all kinds of stuff in them, like groceries, clothes, useless items and we loved it! I had no idea how much I would  grow to love care packages! My parents have continued the tradition of care packages. Sometimes my parents will bring groceries, stuff for the kids or just things! We love our care packages, and thank the Lord for the simple blessings of everyday "Care Packages" I can't wait until I can carry out these traditions with Lilly and Owen, door bell ring and all!

Owens Bad Day

Poor Owen is growing like a weed, we just bought him a ton of new cloths around Christmas and he has all ready grown out of them. He is also become really klutzy, I am sure its because he is growing. Any way the poor kid was playing with Lilly and he fell off the sofa table and now has a black eye. This evening he fell off the couch and has a bruised back and well his knees and legs look like summer has come early! ;)

Falcon, Falcons, From Falcon, Forbidden Road

So when Teddy and I were going to High School we loved to cut off Markshuffel and take this horrible dirt road to Falcon called Tamlin. Well this road was forbidden to most of us Falcon kids because it was pretty dangerous and really rough. Any who I got a whim the other day and decided to take Tamlin to the Library out in Falcon. Still the same old road only this time I can go on with out getting in trouble. Oh and it now ends in a housing development :( not off the REAL Maridian!

A House of Books

We love the library! And I have no idea why I did not do this sooner but my mom and I took the kids to get their own Library cards! That was a fun mile stone they each picked out several books and put them on their own cards! So fun!!

Movie Night at Church

Saturday night we had an amazing evening sharing a very sweet movie together with our church family. We watched Toy Story III. Such a sweet movie, I don't think I will ever throw any toys out ever again! All the kids had on pj's and pillow pets! It was really really sweet to see all the kids cuddled on the floor together watching a movie together!

Beautiful Exchange Take a Listen

I am a worship leader at my church and I truly love powerful worship. God has give us so many tools to reach His people, I have seen people come to Jesus during powerful movements of song, where the Holy Spirit takes over. I have always believed that God has given music because it can be so indescribably powerful. That feeling I get when I am singing to Jesus and worshiping him with all I have is a moment that can't be described. The song playing on my play list is a new song we have just added to our ever growing and powerful set list. I am thankful for in your face worship that makes people feel the power of Christ. I am so blessed to sing to my Jesus and can't wait to sing this song! Take a listen!

Space shuttle Discovery lands on STS-133, its final mission

Space shuttle Discovery lands on STS-133, its final mission

(Red Huber, Orlando Sentinel / March 9, 2011)
Space shuttle Discovery, STS-133, ends its historic career after the crew of 6 astronauts made a picture-perfect landing Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Kennedy Space Center.

I am not going to lie seeing that beautiful space ship land for the last time brought tears to my eyes. Can you imagine the exploration of space and what a rush it must feel like to travel up up and away. Praise God for the wonderful years of space exploration. I can only pray that we as a country can get it together and remember the importance of space exploration, and NASA. I can't believe that my kids won't be seeing a shuttle launch again anytime soon. So thankful to the men and women who devoted so much time, thought and effort into the science of sending a flying piece of foam into outer space. Thank you Space Shuttle Discovery!

Happy Birthday Allie

Happy Birthday to our sweet Allie! Allie we miss you so very very much and can not wait until you all move state side! We are so proud of you little bear and love you so much! Happy 6th Birthday Pretty!!!
Lilly and Owen could not wait to talk with Allie today. We headed up to Grammie and Grampys right after school so the kids could chat across the ocean!!

Owen and His CRAZY Hairdresser

Lilly apparently decided Owen needed a haircut Saturday WHILE I WAS AT WORK. That means that Gary was home during the haircut, I lose the kids he lets them cut and paint things, we are great team!! Any who this is several day's later and I am just now getting around to taking a picture of Owens hair, and his very inexperienced hairdresser. I am going to take the poor kid to get it fixed tomorrow, I figured he has lived with it this long that is enough punishment for him. Lilly had to give up all her craft stuff and she now knows it is not ok to cut, her hair, mommy's hair, grammies hair, ducks hair, pony's hair, any of her friends hair or her brothers! Now that we have that covered I better go they are awful quiet upstairs!

Worship Is A Gift Share It!

As most of my family and friends know I love to worship Jesus through song, it's my favorite thing to do ever. Singing to my Jesus is my way of pleading with people to get it, to get what I have found in Him. Something so special happens when I get to sing to my Jesus.
I think I have been having worship withdrawals, we have added several services to include Saturday evening and three services on Sunday. One may think we would be able to serve more but in fact we are down to just once a month. For someone like me who feels I have found my place this can be really disappointing to only sing once a month. However today something dawned on me. God whapped me right upside my head! I realized we have four large services, if we include Wednesday nights we have five services where in each services we have a worship team. Now think with me. Let's go back to what I said in the the second sentence. I said worship is my way of pleading with people to find Christ. Can you imagine we have so many people at one church that feel the same way! We have people willing to serve and give up their time to serve Jesus, to plead with the people, to sing or play an instrument run lighting sound and camera's. What a blessing it is to serve only once a month what a blessing it is to see others passionately sing to Jesus!
With that said and how blessed I am to see and feel the passion others have for Christ just as I do, I am really looking forward to March 20th, this would be the next time I get to corporately sing to my beloved Savior! :) Ha~Ha!!! Just thought I would throw that in there!!!

Tonight We Have Date Night!!!

Ok Ok, this is kind of sad for some people. For Gary and I it's just life, and we like it this way. It has been over three years since Gary and I went out alone! Some peoples marriages just would not survive, but we love our little family and we are ok sneaking a real movie on netflix and a pizza after the kids have gone to sleep. That is what we would consider date night. But tonight we are going to dinner and to see a comedian. I am looking forward to being able to talk about the kids and church and our families with out interruption. Should be fun evening I may even do my nails! I'll post pictures tomorrow!

Lilly's Book Report

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday Lilly had to do a book report on a Dr. Seuss book. Of course out of the hundreds of Dr. Seuss books that have been written she did hers on space! The picture does not show all the glitter and sparkle that Lilly has interpreted space to have! I believe that there is a pink planet that has yet to be discovered, maybe my little space cadet will discover that for me and send me there with a pink Starbucks!

Bye Baby Seats

Gary and I have been debaiting for a few months about the kids car seats. Today was the day we put them both in a booster. So sad to turn around and see big kid seats, I think I need more babies!

Spring Break

I’m morning Spring Break... We had such a great time from movies to Denver and Salida. Thankful summer is right around the bend.
