Happy Birthday Matt!

Gary's brother Matt passed away about five and a half years ago. On his birthday we all ways celebrate his day by going to dinner at Red Lobster. This was Matts favorite restaurant. We just loved Matt he had a wealth of knowledge that was truly amazing. He was unique in character and a man of God. I will all ways cherish the many llllooooonnnnngggg conversations I had with Matt. every time I have mashed potatoes I think of him. Gary loved his brother and all the horrible things they did together. Dare I say cone, what cone!?!? I am very sad that Lilly and Owen Matthew will not have the opportunity to know such a spirit. I am so thankful for peace in the Lord, I know Matt is free of pain and difference. He is walking and talking with the Lord who will listen to Matts stories with the utmost of patience! ;)

Happy Birthday Matt We Miss You!

Lilly Got Caught!!!!!!!!

Lilly went upstairs this evening to use the ladies room. When she did not come back in a reasonable amount of time I went to hunt her down. She found the ugliest color of nail polish possible and did both her fingers and toes! Luckily the camera was on the shelf as I came up behind her, I definitely caught her by surprise!

Jenny's Favorite Music!

Everyone knows I have a performing arts background, I still love to perform, the feeling I get in front of an audience is like nothing else! I thought it would be fun to share my all time FAVORITE songs.Candle On The Water is what I sing to my babies. Lily's Eyes is from The Secret Garden, the first Broadway show I went to. That is where my Lilly gets her name. Amazing Grace is nothing but pure magic, just the sound if the words AMAZING GRACE gives me chills, and this is where Lilly gets her middle name. If you do nothing else on our site please listen to David Phelps sing O Holy Night. Just scroll to the music player at the bottom of the page and select a song. Music is such a gift. I truly hope everyone enjoys!
Love Jen

Lilly and Show Night!

Lilly had her very first Show Night at gymnastics! She did a fantastic job! My little Lilly is very shy and was not sure of all the people watching and clapping for her. She has to have gotten that from Gary, because we all know I live for the clapping:-)!!!

Thank You President Bush - Welcome President Obama

Thank you President Bush. You have been a fantastic leader for our country. I believe you kept our country safe. I will never forget you standing on the rubble of what was once The World Trade Center. I know that Americans may have forgotten what happened on September 11, 2001. However I know you never did.
Welcome President Obama. I have great respect for you and I hope you do well as our new President. My family will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers during your administration.

Sunday is ALL WAYS our Family Day!

Every Sunday we have a big breakfast together and then find something to do. Even if it's just playing at the park it's our day to just be together. This past Sunday Gary made his moms famous fried bread. It was all most as good as his moms! After our breakfast we took the kids ice skating. I was very relieved for the rink to not have Owens size, that meant I did not have to drag my big backside on the ice:)! Lilly however loved every second and was really great at skating! She did become quit indignant when she was given black skates. She asked the gal behind the counter if they had pink ones. The gal was super nice and told her that everyone was wearing black skates and she would work on finding some pink ones for next time! Owen and I hung out in the bleachers. He climbed all over the place and found some teenage girls to flirt with. He is his fathers boy! Gary woke the next morning with sore knees and back. I guess he is just not as young as he once was!!! HAHAHA!!! I am sure he will be impressed to read this!

Special Movie Night and the Moon!

Every Saturday night is special movie night. Lilly and I make a special snack and we all head to the basement! Tonight we watched Fly Me to the Moon. It was fun, and sweet. After the movie we went outside to take a look at the moon and say goodnight to the flag! This was especially fun because the moon is not going to be any closer to earth the rest of the year. Lilly and Owen thought it was fun running around in the cold. It only lasted a minute or so and they were off to bed. Now Gary and I are going to watch the Departed, kind of sad but this is how we do date night!! I usually pick the movies from Netflix and I just love Matt Damon movies. To bad he is not a Republican! :-) Hope every one is well,

Back to Normal

As much as we love Christmas and are all way sad to let it go, we are very thankful to get back to a normal schedule. Gary's office is getting ready to move to a new shop. He is getting excited for the new building and being way closer to home. He may even be able to come home for lunch! That would be exciting for me and the babies. Lilly starts gymnastics class tomorrow she is looking forward to seeing her little friends. Lilly has been expressing some interest in dancing so this may be the last semester and we may try dancing next. My little man is one of the happiest people I know. He is talking a little and runs like a little mad man. We are doing very well enjoying some changes we made as our New Year resolutions. Gary is a great man and helps me keep on track. Back to normal is good and we appreciate the time we are spending together. Hope everyone is enjoying the New Year!

Happy New Year

We had a wonderful quiet new year just the four of us. Sometimes I think the simple things in life are what we remember most. Last night we had a nice little family dinner and then let the babies stay up as late as they could, Lilly became really silly and Owen kept saying nite nite around nine thirtyish so we said prayers and tucked everyone in. Gary and I watched a great movie and then braved the wind to watch the fireworks over Pikes Peak. All in all we had a great family weekend. We look forward to the New Year and seeing the babies grow. We hope everyone is well and enjoying life. Love Us
