That's a Sad Game Owen!

Owen is so stinking funny mixed with a big splash of rotten! He sat and played with the Hungry Hippo game for about an hour this morning. All alone, I told him that's sad, do you want mommy to play with you he said no! I said how come he said I broke the pink one! Rotten kid!! It's a good thing I love him!

SNOW! Thanks Grandma and Papa!!

Our family in Idaho have a ton of snow and Lilly really wanted some. So she asked papa to send her some and he did! Just a little but we will take it!

To Nook or Not to Nook?????

I can't decide if I want a nook or not. Lots of good things have been said about the nook and kindle. But I still like my piles of books and the feel of the pages, not to mention pictures and my crease marks! On the other hand I could read in bed with the light off, and get new books at the touch of my finger. Huummmm.... What to do????

Decorating and a phone call to Grandma and Papa

Lilly and Owen could not wait any longer to decorate the house and tree. Ok I am lying I could not wait any longer to decorate the house and tree! I love Christmas and decorating. While putting up the tree Lilly and Owen talked with Grandma and Papa about all that is going on in their lives. Owen let every one know about the monsters in his room. :)

So Thankful and Blessed

If I were to list all the things I was thankful for I would be writing all night. Of course at the very top of the list would be Starbucks, and my Batista's. Just kidding with all joking aside Gary and I are very blessed. I have said this so many times but the last couple of years our lives have been transformed by our very Gracious God who has really done a ton of work on us! We are so thankful we spent two full years getting out of debt and now have a house payment and one car payment. There is no financial program in the world that could touch Proverbs 22:7, and with full understanding our lives changed. We are so blessed and thankful for family and friends. Gary and I have amazing parents. Both our mom's and dad's have worked so hard for us and sacrificed that their children would prosper. We have amazing siblings. Gary's brother Matt was such a special person and for us to have known him was a blessing. Gary's sister Tammy and brother in law Chris are great people and have two beautiful daughters that are growing up so fast and are so involved in many activities. Teddy is so special to me, he is the best brother in the whole world. Teddy is one of my very best friends and I think I am more proud of him then my parents! He has given me a beautiful sister in law and my green eyed Allie Bear! We have the best friend in the whole world, Lance and Sarah and their two little girls Maddy and Baby Ally. We have a church that is beyond words. I have all ways dreamed of a passionate place to worship and we have found a community of Passionate Followers of Christ. I am so thankful to be singing again and to sing for my Saviour is just indescribable. The worship team at Radiant Church is both talented and faithful. It is an honor to sing week after week with these wonderful people. Last but certainly not least is our beautiful babies Lilly Grace and Owen Matthew. Just the sound of their names is a blessing.Lilly and Owen are the two most amazing people and have taught Gary and I so much. We are loving every minute that God gives us with them. I pray this evening for peace and for my family and friend to find the freedom that we have come to know in Christ Jesus.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Thanksgiving Pictures

A Girl and Boy After Our Own Hearts

Lilly and Gary would never sleep if they did not have to, and Owen and I could sleep all the time if you would let us. Tonight Gary and Lilly stayed up late to watch Tinker Bell, and O and I we said prayers read a story and went to bed! God is so good!

Yes I was at work!

Poor Owen I was getting him ready for a bath tonight and I noticed his skin peeling on his back. It looked like he was getting over a sunburn. I went to get Gary and said look at O's back and Lilly chimed in. "I glued a paper towel to him" REALLY! This is what happens when I am at work! We told Lilly one day soon Owen will be bigger than you!

Our Reading Adventure!

I can not even tell you how much our kids are enjoying the The Chronicles of Narnia. Lilly wakes in the morning asking to find out what is happening with Polly! We started the series the way that C.S. Lewis intended the books to be read. The first book in the series is The Magicians Nephew. I wish I had started these books sooner. Owen was yelling last night, Don't touch that ring!! HA! So funny they love it!

Lilly's Thanksgiving Feast

Owen and I were invited to Lilly's school for the Thanksgiving Feast. What an amazing group of kids, parents and teachers. The kids did six different crafts and then we had a nice feast! I am really sorry for no pictures I forgot my camera, trust me I was kicking myself. I was rally proud of Lilly and Owen. Lilly took really good care of Owen and he seemed to have a really good time! We are getting really excited for next week, this was a really nice way to start the festivities! This is just a quick picture of Lilly and her project's from the day and one of her and Owen loving each other!

Free Coffee!!

I spend way to much time at Starbucks!

So Funny

Lilly reading flashcard.
C=Cat
B=Bat
S=Sat
R=Mouse
Totally made me chuckle.
I was looking at Lilly's school work the other day and one assignment was several pictures in a box and the kids were supposed to circle the first letter sound of that picture. One picture had a mop and Lilly skipped that one. Now if they had shown me on my knees scrubbing the floor she would have know that was mopping! HA-HA!!!

Our New Reading Adventure

For several years now before bedtime we all sit together and read. We mostly read from the Bible or kids devotion books. I personally really enjoy this time and I hope it becomes a family tradition that we stick with even as the kids grow older, and our lives become more and more busy.  Tonight we are going to start reading a series of books that have been captivating so many for Lot's of years. C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. My brother read these books when he was like nine or ten and I had not had any interest in these chronicles until I read Mere Christianity, The Problem of Pain and The Screwtape Letters. Mere Christianity is truly one of my all time favorite books, I will even say that C.S. Lewis is probably my favorite author. I am really looking forward to this evening when dinner and baths are all finished and we can sit together and begin this classic as a family!

My Favorite Thing

A little over a year ago I decide I was going to make a lot of room in my life for a real relationship with Christ. I long for that moment when Gary goes to bed or his shop and the kids are sound asleep for me to begin my favorite time with God. One of my all time favorite things I do is pray over my babies. I love to see them so peaceful at rest and knowing that The Lord is working on them while they sleep is so amazing. I know that the Lord has sent an Army of angles to my babies and that is a gift that none but God can give.
I have a lot of different scripture that I pray but this is one of my favorites.
Isaiah 24:13-14 and 17

All our children shall be taught by the Lord and great will be their peace, their health, safety,

protection and prosperity. In righteousness they will be established. Tyranny will be far from them;

they will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near them. No weapon formed against them will prosper.
I know that many people are searching for a blessing and asking the Lord continually to just be blessed. Sometimes I think we just need to take a step back and see what is all ready there.

Sick on a Sunday=Poopy

I hate to be sick but on a Sunday that is just not right! We love church and it stunk that we just could not go today! It turned out good, I got to cuddle with my family and I made a homemade biscuits and gravy, along with some hot chocolate and our other favorite thing! And yes Lilly is wearing her bathing suit she is a mess! Oh and I did take a little nap, Praise God!

Lilly And Her Homework

Lilly has tons of homework, we are not complaining at all. It is just kind of unbelievable what she is learning in Kindergarten. She is reading and writing and doing math that I don't remember doing until second or third grade. She and Owen are certainly blessed to have this opportunity, and Gary and I could not be more thankful. Gary and I have a deal I do reading and English he does all the math and science. It totally works out until the kids surpass our intelligence and then it's tutor time!!

It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you. ~Author unknown

Ephesians 6:11-17

Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming missiles of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Who's that with the Broncos Cheerleaders??

That's our Allie Bear!!! We miss Allie, Ted and Steph so much! We are so thankful they are having fun and get some great opportunities in Germany. I am not going to lie I am so excited to have them back in the states next year! Allie is the sweetest thing I miss her hugs so much! You go pretty girl, one day you can be a Bronco Cheerleader too!!

Pretty Little Lilly

I adore my Lilly and she is turning into such a sweet little lady! We received Lilly's ITBS scores back and she scored 90% higher than her peers across the nation. We have a meeting with her teacher to discuss some class options for her next year! Gary and I are so proud of her. We are loving her school and are in awe at all she is learning. It is amazing she is doing math that I remember doing in third grade! She has another rehearsal today for the Christmas program and she has decided to audition as a dancer. We have prayed that she gets the part she wants!

Owen!

This morning after taking Lilly to school Owen disappeared. After cleaning up all the breakfast dishes I wondered upstairs to make beds and I found Owen happily cuddling in our bed! He is so funny, Owen has the best attitude and is so stinking sweet. I adore him and best of all he is always happy to see me! I won't lie I do get a little nervous when I hear his little voice say I am sorry mommy, and I have not seen him do anything!

Snow!

It is finally snowing! We are so excited, I hope Owen is big enough to go down the sled hill at Breck! That would be awesome!

Shopping Done!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!! I start thinking about Christmas in July, it is one of the most important days to me. this time of year is so special I love the feeling in the air. I am super early but I have finished shopping! That's right I am done stick a fork in shopping I am finished! Surprisingly to many I really don't like to shop and I am so not a fan of large crowds. I like to do things early enough that I can relax and enjoy the season! This year is going to be super busy and I am really excited. Lilly has two Christmas programs that she is doing. One at church and one at school. We are also going to see Beauty and the Beast, to the North Pole and the Zoo not to mention the party's and church services. It's going to be a season filled with faith, family, friends and lot's of fun! I can't wait!

Smart Alec!

So I am a mean mom because my kids don't get to have sweets or ice cream unless it's a special day or something like that. Any way Lilly is always asking for ice cream. So today I told her if you have ice cream everyday you would not like it as much. She smiled and said well you have coffee everyday! Smart Alec!!

My friend just sent this to me from the show this weekend. Lilly looks like she was grumpin. Her friend was on the other side and I made her take a family picture and she was not happy with me because she wanted to go see her. I think it's way to early for this kind of drama!

I Smile

If you have the JOY of the Lord in your heart, don't forget to remind your face!

Sitting at a stoplight today on Tutt and Carfree I looked around me and saw nothing but burdened people. No smile no joy just glazed almost robotic people. I felt the spirit move me to pray and I did right then and there in my little jeep. I prayed for all those people to smile and feel peace. I have so many things in my life to be thankful for. I am thankful for my Family and friends and the bills that are piled on the counter. I am thankful for Starbucks and music and makeup! I am thankful for dirty laundry and messy rooms and crumbs. I am thankful for cold days and hot showers. I am thankful hugs and kisses and books. I am thankful to feel  tired and I am thankful for bed time! I have so much but my joy comes from something I can't see or touch I have the JOY of the Lord and once you get that JOY it does not go away. Your eyes will be opened to what really matters in life and it's not any thing but the JOY of the Lord. Little things like dirty dishes, and arguing children have a whole new meaning. I pray that all people get the JOY of my Lord and that they don't keep that JOY to themselves but share it. Smile and shine for God, He has all ready done all the work for you!

Spring Break

I’m morning Spring Break... We had such a great time from movies to Denver and Salida. Thankful summer is right around the bend.
