The Greatness of Our God

This week has been full of bad news stress and sickness. On Monday I received a word that my good friend Lisa lost her brother to cancer. This was a long battle for JT and he fought so hard. On Tuesday we were watching the news and a story came on about a family who had been camping in Wyoming they were caught in a flash flood the father was able to escape and even rescue a driver in another car, but he was unable to save his wife and three daughters. This gentleman was our family doctor. A very sweet young man that I work with. He and his wife were expecting their first baby. They went full term with a healthy pregnancy and during delivery the baby was with out oxygen for about eight minutes. This young couple is now being told they have a very difficult choice to make. Leave this precious baby on life support or send her back home to Jesus. All this and I have a horrible case of pneumonia, and my poor dad had to have another shoulder surgery.
In the stress of life there is only one who can be called upon for strength and that is our ever faithful Lord.
I can see my friends brother pain free and eternally happy with his saviour. My doctors babies were all adopted. Two girls were from China and one from Korea. This was a beautiful life that was given to each of these girls. And though they were taken home, their life will continue to bring joy to other adopted children. The family is asking that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Half the Sky Foundation a local adoption agency. And my friend with his beautiful fragile newborn, what a blessing getting to hold and love that baby. God will no doubt intervene and give them guidance. And I am so very thankful for the gift of modern medicine because I know that God works and Heals in so many ways. There is always the Greatness of our God we just have to remember to seek Him first, and then listen. God will always bring peace.
Please join me in prayer for each of these families.

Summer So Far

It has been a cooler today and the kids and I are still in our pj's. I can't lie this is a much needed break for me and I am sure them! I am still working at both Ent and Radiant Church. I am blessed to have two amazing employers in an economy where so many people are out of work. However I must admit I am tired and struggling a bit getting everything done for everyone. I start my morning early so I can get as many chores done before my babies wake. I love having breakfast ready and outside for the kids when they get up. I love our morning on the deck where we eat and pray together. There is something so amazing about praying outside. The kids and I try to visit a new park everyday and have a picnic, or go to the library or pool. We spend a lot of time at church prepping for the weekly activities. I am so blessed to have Lilly and Owen as helpers. I don't think it is ever to early to teach our children to serve others in church. I adore Lilly and Owens heart and their willingness to pray for other kids. Something that I like to do once a week is stop in to the pre-school area and pray over all the rooms for the families and kids. My kids love to come with me and pray, that is a blessing right before my eyes. We continue our day waiting for Gary to come home, he always has something fun to talk about when he gets home from work. Gary has been working with our friend Ethan on his Harley. Guys are so weird but hey I guess cutting metal in a garage is something that relaxes them and give me a moment to read or blog! Our kiddos have been going to bed super late, we have thrown that whole school year routine out the window this summer and pretty much let them make some silly memories. They love playing outside in the dark. One of the best investments of the summer is glow sticks from the dollar store. Our kids love the glow sicks. In all the madness of summer I have had the chance to read some really great books and learn some new music. I have even been dabbling in writing some songs. Nothing spectacular but fun and I am enjoying it. I really miss singing in the modern service, however I am still getting to sing to Jesus and that is all that matters. My worship pastor and assistant worship leader at our church are amazing, I think they know how much I miss the modern service because I am now getting to sing way more during our Fusion services. This is such a blessing and shows just how God works. Well that is pretty much our summer so far. Hard to believe in less than a moth Lilly will be back in school. I am loving this time with my family and hope everyone is enjoying summer too. I better get some things done Pook will be home from work soon. I can at least pretend I have done something today!!! Blessing Everyone!

Matt Remembered and Our 12 year Anniversary

Yahoo I love my Pook and today we celebrated our twelve year anniversary!!! We had a fantastic time of worship at church, went to lunch and celebrated the life of Matt, then to top that off the zoo! Our day was amazing and I love Gary more today than the day I married him! I am so thankful for his heart, love of God and our Lilly and Owen. Gary is an amazing man and I can't wait to see what else God has in Store for us.
We started our afternoon off at Red Lobster celebrating Matt's life along with our anniversary. Gary and I totally pitty the poor guy who marries Lilly who pretty much ate all my shrimp (I still have tummy issues, and why on earth am I fat I can't eat! Back to my post ha) and munched on Gary's crab! Owen on the other had was happy with a cup of clam chowder! I did eat a bit of my mashed potatoes in memory of Matt. And chuckled as they went down!
The zoo was amazing! The animals were so active and right up close. I even braved the Sky Rider, Owen held my hand as I prayed all the way to the top! Lilly was in Heaven with all the animals, she may just be a Veterinarian yet!
Enjoy the pictures I finally remembered that memory card!!
