Love Notes

I write love letters to my husband and kids several times a year as well as little lunchtime surprises. I’m sure my kids don’t think it’s as cool as I do but I know they keep the little notes. Gary thinks I’m a mess but it’s fun for me and I like to do little things to let my people know I am thinking about them throughout the day. Something new I started this school year is on a monthly bases I will take scripture and little love thoughts and place in the back of their school folders. We use this as our morning devotion for the entire month so the scripture and lesson sinks in and then the kids have it to look at during the day if they need a little pick me up. We are very passionate about God and teaching His word, there is nothing more important to Gary and I than having our family centered in Christ. It’s a huge blessing to watch and see Lilly and Owen living out their faith.

Armor of God

Finally be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground and after you have done everything, stand firm with the belt of TRUTHbuckled around your waist, with the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes front the GOSPEL OF PEACE. In addition to all this, take up the SHIELD of FAITH, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the HELMET of SALVATION and the SWORD of the SPIRIT, which is the word of God. And pray in the SPIRIT on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request. With this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:10-18

Daddy and mom love you guys so very much. We are beyond proud of you not a day goes by that we don’t thank God for making you our kids. We love you guys! Romens 12:9 is one of my very favorite verses. It says LOVE must be SINCERE. Our love for you both is so big and sincere. This verse also says to HATE what is evil; and CLING to what is GOOD. Our prayer for you both is that you follow Jesus with all of your heart and cling to the righteousness of the narrow road! Trust GOD and RISE UP to HIS ARMY! We love you both so very much!

Happy Birthday O

Happy Birthday to our sweet Owen! It's the best thing to be the mom of such a great little boy. This time eight year ago I was in the hospital alone with this beautiful calm blue baby who was content just being held. I adore every moment being Owens mom, he makes me laugh, and still loves to hang out and cuddle with me. Owen loves Jesus and is one of the most honest people I have ever met. I love this kid so very much! We went to dart warz Friday night and then had his family birthday party on Saturday. Happy Birthday little man!  

It's Harvest Time!

Lilly and Owen are quite the little farmers! I'd like to think that I am the farmer but it's really the kids! There is something so satisfying about growing and cooking your own food! The only thing we did not grow was the onion! So fun!

This little girl is full of sparkle and a little sass! She has worked her tail off the last couple of years and based on last years end of year testing she is in advanced reading, math and science! She is one of the hardest workers I know!

We are going to get in as much hiking as we can before winter. After our hike we went to one of our favorite little lunch places in Woodland Park. I literally left the table for one minute and when I came back Gary and the kids had Mt. Dews YUCK!! I don't let the kids drink that garbage, this is why Gary is their favorite parent!! Lol!! 

Beauty From Ashes

I took an advanced excel class today down off of Centennial and on my walk was able to really see the beauty of God after the Waldo Canyon Fire. He always has a plan, beauty from ashes.. 

Humbled and Thankful

There will never ever be a moment that I am not humbled and thankful for the opportunity to lead worship at Radiant Church. My heart and soul was created to worship, praise and serve my living God! My prayer is for a fresh revaluation of what exactly it means to worship in Spirit and Truth. Praying that He be lifted high, and all glory be to God. My heart is overwhelmed with this opportunity and so incredibly thankful. My soul sings.
