Bye Bye little zoom zoom :(

The replacements, the best replacements! No car could take the place of our babies! Praise God!

Today Gary and I sold our first baby. The Miata was a fantastic little car and we had some fun times with it. I will never forget calling it a black olive and roller skate the first time I saw it! Gary and I took it all over Colorado and Idaho. When we first got married one of our very favorite things to do was to drive around Lake Coeur D' Alene to my favorite little town called Harrison, we got the best ice cream there! We drove that little car all over and had a blast we sat in car washes while the Colorado skies threw hail down, we would always plan our summer outings around car wash shelters!! That little car was so good to us and we loved it. Over the last five years our little car sat sadly in the garage, I think a couple of times we heard it say "Zoom Zoom". We had a little car with a lot of memories that long to see the road. We planned on keeping it forever, but the past few months have been a bit financially draining with my surgery and I did not work as much because I felt so poorly. God stepped in and made us realize our little car could make life a little easier just one more time. We really thought long and hard about selling our favorite little car. I was ready to sell my wedding ring! We posted the car and less than 24hours later was sold to a young man getting ready to start his last year of high school and aspirations of a career in the United States Army. When Gary saw this kid who bought his baby he knew he was the one. Funny how life seems to change and make you grow. We once saw fun in a car and this little car that was so babied and loved had been replaced by the two most beautiful gifts. You see this little car was replaced five years ago for giggles, pinches, smiles and hugs. It is just now that God made us realize it!

  1. It's amazing how your priorities change when you grow up. I know it was a hard thing to do but we are proud of you for putting your family first. I know the little zoom zoom is happy now.

  2. I know it was a tough decision! I want you and Gary to know how proud I am of both of you. Sometimes it takes so much courage to step out of your comfort zone and face the real world. Both of you are facing reality with the love of family and friends, both at home and at church. Keep your heart focused on God and he will see you through these times with love and more gifts than you can ever imagine. Love, Dad
