Praying for our Nation

Thursday, Oct. 25
Pray that believers will not get caught up in the negative, in fault-finding or personal disparagement as the campaigns heat up:
• Pray that the attitudes, words and actions of Christians will not dishonor God or show disrespect to other people.
Do all things without complaining (grumbling) or disputing (arguing), that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. (Phil. 2:14-1
• Pray that believers will continue to show respect -- and to pray -- for incumbent office- holders, including those they wish to see replaced in this election.
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of our God our Savior. (1 Tim. 2:1-3)
Pray against the spirit of divisiveness that grips our land, that it not infect the body of Christ.:
• Pray that Christians will not give place to the spirits of anger and rage, nor allow roots of bitterness to spring up, because of their concerns and/or passions during this election season.

I’m morning Spring Break... We had such a great time from movies to Denver and Salida. Thankful summer is right around the bend.
