Praying for our Nation

Monday, Oct. 29
Pray for the schools in our city and around the nation:
• Repent on behalf of our nation for pushing God out of our schools and opening the floodgates to all kinds of iniquity and other evil consequences for our children and our society at large.
• Pray that God would protect our students from the attacks of the enemy working in and through the school systems, including anti-biblical teaching, ungodly sex education, bullying and other violence.
• Pray that our government leaders – elected and appointed – would recognize the consequences of removing God from our schools and begin to re-institute godly principles and practices.
• Pray for godly educators – teachers and administrators – that they will be able to stand in the gap for our children and stem the tide of iniquity and violence in our schools.
• Pray for the election of government leaders – at the local, state and federal level – who will work to reverse the effects of taking God out of our schools.
• Pray for the appointment or election of judges who will begin to turn back the tide of godlessness in our schools.
Pray today for the elections to the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives.
• Pray that the balance of power will be re-aligned in both houses so that men and women who espouse godly principles will be in a position to enact legislation that moves America back toward its founding principles, to block new legislation that would continue the national move away from God, and to repeal or amend past legislation that violated the moral principles outlined in our Constitution and in the Bible.
• Pray that the elections in the U.S. Senate will lessen the likelihood of judges being appointed -- or confirmed -- to the Supreme Court who would continue America’ march away from God and the godly principles of our nation’s founders.
