It's Going To Be BLESSED Week!

The busiest week of the year is upon us. Gary and I are incredibly good at not being too busy. We have great balance in our home always keeping Christ at the center of our home and lives. This is the one week of the year where we have activities going on all week and we will all,  no doubt feel the week weighing in on us. It helps that Gary and I have really planned some things out. Dinners and lunches are all set for the entire week as well as planned out clothing, LOL clothing is a big one in our house :)!  Our home is spotless and I will get up at 4:30 to work out and ensure that our home stays organized. I want the kids to enjoy all the before school and church activities this week and I am going to do everything I can to make this week as easy on them as I can.  I write these post for our memories, it’s exciting to see all the things we have done, I love looking back. So our week looks a little something like this.

Monday: Early basketball practice for Lilly school and work Choir concert at school in the evening.

Tuesday: Early choir rehearsal for Lilly school and work.

Wednesday: Early morning basketball practice for Lilly work and school. Choir/worship rehearsal at church for me, Lilly and Owen.

Thursday: Work, school choir/worship rehearsal for me, Lilly and Owen at church.

Friday: Work, school, Lilly choir concert, awards assembly for Lilly and Owen. Nighttime Christmas party with the Fravels.

Saturday: Early morning basketball game, Church rehearsal, Church performance #1.

Sunday: Church performance #2 and #3.

I think I’m exhausted just from re-reading this! We can do this and as a family we are a pretty tough team! We have great perspective and love serving Christ as a family. My heart is overwhelmed with gladness at our busy this week. I have two of the most hard working, kind, and faithful kids anyone could ask for. They know their purpose this week is to serve with grateful hearts and glorify the Lord in all we do. Shining His Light even when we are tired is when the Holy Spirit will take over and lead us even more. I’m thankful for my husband who not only works hard all week but serves in our church and leads our family faithfully in Christ! We know and will always remember the meaning of this season. In our Family devotion we were reading Luke 2:10

And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them and the glory of The Lord shone around them: and they were terrified. But the angle said to them “Do not be afraid, for I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people. Today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Just hearing and reading  this beautiful scripture encompasses all that this season is about. I’m thankful and overwhelmed at the maturity that my little people show in loving Jesus and celebrating Him and the fact that we are saved through faith and grace. We are incredibly blessed this Christmas season and I pray a prayer of blessing of peace, comfort and calming over my family and friends this beautiful Christmas Season.
