Praying for our Nation October 15th prayer guide

Monday, Oct. 15
Pray for all Americans to take their vote seriously and to consider God in their voting:
• Pray for all Americans – especially believers -- to recognize the profound, lasting implication of major elections. Pray they will understand that God holds them directly responsible for the
stances and decisions of those they elect.
When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man rules, the
people groan. (Prov. 29:2)
• Pray for the voters in the United States that they will seek wisdom from God, that their self- interest will be laid aside for the common good and that discernment between truth and falsehood will be clear to them.
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. (Ps. 33:12)
• Pray for a mighty resurgence of Americans who will honor God and stand boldly for biblical truths and the godly principles upon which this nation was founded. Pray that a great majority will awaken to harmful directions our country and its leaders have taken.
If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (Psalm 11:3)
• Pray for the advance voting process that begins today in Colorado, that the process will be free of fraud or errors, and that those who are voting early will be fully informed about the issues and candidates before casting their ballots.
Pray against dishonesty, deception and distortion in the campaign process:
• Bind all spirits of lying, deception, dishonesty, and distortion during the election. Ask the Lord to empower truth, honesty, integrity, and ethical behavior instead.
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matt. 16:19)
• Pray that the news media will report the facts of this election in truth, avoiding any bias in their coverage.
• Pray that during the campaigns, the truth will be revealed and lies exposed so that voters can make informed choices.
For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. (Luke 12:2)
