Ahhh Summer

I feel like I have been waiting for summer all winter! We had another beautiful day in Colorado and could not be more thankful for all the activities around town this weekend. Gary the kids and I spent time wondering around Territory Days in Old Colorado City. We love looking at all the stuff! This was one if those days that I really enjoyed being with my little family. Lilly and Owen are really good kids. I wish I could freeze frame days like today forever. Now I am relaxing in my sitting area listening to Lilly and Owen riding their bikes and watching the black birds dig for the seeds they want from the feeder! Love these days! Happy Summer!!

Awe Bliss

I thank God all the time and pray that they continue to love each other!!

Beautiful Start To Summer

We had the first of many summer BBQ's today! We even got out the pool for the kids to splash around in.
Because Lilly and Dad have birthdays on the 28th and 29th we did a little birthday party too!
Yay Summer!!

My Mothers Day Present

We do a spring and fall project every year on the house. And this spring we built a small sitting area off the patio.
I love it! Now bring on summer!!

Thank You Jesus For Summer

Gary and I are relaxing in our new little sitting area and the ding dongs are playing tag with glow sticks and water balloons!
Praise Jesus for family and summer!

Last Day of School

Today was Lilly's last day of second grade! She had one last award assembly and this time her awards were in technology and math. They also announced that her school had the highest tcap scores in the district and was in the top ranking percentile in the city. I sure am glad we took her out of the charter school! There is so much more opportunity right where she is at!

Won't You Be My Neighbor

God never fails to amaze me in the way He speaks. He reaches me in ways that surprise me and grabs my attention. For a good year now, Gary and I have been contemplating building a home out east. Just a thought really~ but we have looked at different homes in the Falcon, and Meridian Ranch area. I was a Falcon kid and oh boy did I have fun. I really wanted Lilly and Owen to have that small town feeling growing up like I did. Not so much the sand pit experience :) but the home town Basketball, Football game experience and they will have right here right where we live now! We never wanted to leave our home we love, this house. We have so much history as a family here, but something was nagging at us to look else where. God gives us these moments and thoughts so we will be open to his words reaching inside us. He never fails. Sure enough He answered the moving question with no doubts!
These past few Sundays at church we have been in a series called Won't You Be My Neighbor. This was an excellent series Gary and I took so much away from it. However this past Sunday it hit both of us. We are in the right place and we love not only our home but our neighbors! We know our neighbors. I am not just talking about my parents, whom we love and adore living up the street from. But rather I am talking about our other neighbors up and down our street. We know their stories and we have shared heart ache and fun times with them. We actually know our neighbors.... In this world where people drive into their garage and shut the door behind them we know the people who live next door, up the street and across the street. We have seen our neighbors lose loved ones, get married have kids get promotions, graduate by new furniture, do landscaping and redo kitchens and basements and make some darn good BBQ! Wow can we say God moment? I'll say it!! God Moment! He is so good at grabbing our attention and opening our eyes. He is amazing at making us realize the importance of where we are at right now. I love these moments and I am so looking forward to our summer in our new little sitting area enjoying conversation with the people we love... Our neighbors!

Quick move the car!

We are a sick family! Our favorite game is to move the car on each other. So the other day Gary needed to run into Home Depot real quick and Owen and I opted to stay in the car.... :) As soon as Lilly and Gary were out if sight Owen said move it quick!!

Runner Lil!!

I have said it before but Lilly is amazing! She ran a ton this spring and did great!
She won two first place ribbons and one second place ribbons based on her times!
She loved Land Sharks and is excited to participate this fall.

Faiths Party

Lilly's little friend just turned eight and had a disco zebra party! All the girls dressed up and then they played a game where they dressed even more silly!
And then there was my friend Kelly's zebra cake... It was oh so good!!!

Owen and his Legos

Owen is insane at building Lego cities! This is by far the best entertainment for kids ever!
I have started to make Owen earn and use his own money for his sets because they range in price from $13.00 to $40.00!! And I am poor!!!
This set we decided to challenge him. The age range was 8-14 years and by golly it took him a good solid, not move for five hours to get it done but he did it! And only needed help with the string at the very end!

Gary's a great Dad!!

Love

After I was done singing in the most amazing service this morning; I snuck upstairs to see my sweet Lilly singing with her best little friend Faithie! Love moments of worship and our kids get what worship is all about!
When I snuck in they were all most done so I got have end. Lilly and Faith were so sweet with their hands held high and eyes closed singing away to Sweet Jesus!

Lego City

Owen is a Master Lego Builder he will sit and meticulously follow the directions and build all kinds of creations!
He is amazing we have fire trucks, jets, several cars and he is finishing a helicopter here.
This helicopter is special because I made Owen use his own money! Owen was begging for a new one and we pretty much told him if he wanted it he would have to use the money from his bank. I thought that would backfire seeing how excited Owen is to add to his treasure. I think I just taught him money buys stuff! Dang it!!

Spring Break

I’m morning Spring Break... We had such a great time from movies to Denver and Salida. Thankful summer is right around the bend.
