Thank You
My little brother Major Teddy Perry has served our great Nation honorably and faithfully. Today after many years of service in the United States Army he retires and transitions into civilian life with an amazing new company . I am one very proud sister. Teddy I know you have seen and felt the pain of war and you will never ever forget those memories, moments, comradery, brotherhood and the unfortunate sting of untimley loss. Know that you have served our county honorably and well and we are so very proud of you and all you have done. How exciting the places you have been, I know you have prayed in places that desperately needed prayer and have felt the Lord in your footsteps. I will never forget the story and pictures of the sweet Iraqi baby, know that I still pray for that little boy to this day. You are and amazing man and I am beyond proud of you for all that you have done, Thank you Major Perry for your service to The United States of America! Paw-Paw is grinning from ear to ear!

Weight Loss Wednesday #5
YAY! Down a little over 10 pounds this morning. Last Wednesday when I weighed myself I did not lose anything so somewhere this week I lost 4 pounds. Hopefully I will meet my goal of zipping into my wedding dress in late winter or early spring. All is going well, I wish it would go quicker but it is going well. I have been doing my own research on wheat and gluten and I think I have some intolerance. I have really eliminated bread, pasta and anything starchy from my diet and I feel great. It’s amazing. Gary and the kids really wanted a pizza the other night so we order one, I had a small piece with my salad. As short of a time as I have been doing this diet change I really did not feel so great a couple of hours after eating it. I’m not sure if it was the bread or the grease, either way I really realize how disgusting I have been eating and it’s enough to make me really think. My kids and my husband are doing so well with me. I’m fortunate that they are encouraging and willing to make changes with me. Praying I can continue to lose 10 pounds a month and then just be in a healthy maintenance mode!

Weight Loss Wednesday #4
Well I did not lose any weight this week. However I am lifting weights so I am holding on to the fact that muscle weighs more than fat and I am indeed becoming a healthy temple!
I have kicked up my walking I am doing about five miles a day along with clean eating. My friend asked me the other day what clean eating is, its eating food that can be hunted or gathered. No processed foods no soft drinks, if it did not come from a plant, tree, root or is not a lean cut of meat I am not eating it. HOWEVER I do have some coconut milk in my coffee in the morning. All in all it’s going well, I’m not discouraged yet and I pray I can keep this attitude and enjoyment in serving Him. I have a new little goal and it’s to wear my wedding dress. I think that was really the last time I felt good about myself. So when I can get in that dress again I just may wear it around town, maybe to church, work picking the kids up from school!
I'm constantly reminding myself and praying 1 Corinthians 6:19
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

Weight Loss Wednesday #3
I am still walking about 4miles a day and have begun some weight training. Let me just say, the weights are kicking my butt! That is hard work. I typically only do weights for about 20 minutes and seriously it’s the longest twenty minutes of my day. I made it through our anniversary and camping trip while sticking to my low calorie fruit, veggie and lean meats deal, however had a failure with a rice crispy treat Monday night. All in all it is going well and I lost another two pounds. I’m concerned that I’m not losing weight fast enough. Everything I have read said that losing two pounds a week is the safest rate to go. I can’t help but wonder what I can do to kick this up a notch. If anyone has any suggestions I would gladly listen.
I’m clinging to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.
I love the Lord and telling people about Christ is not enough. I have to follow his word and glorify him in everything I do. Looking forward to the day where I look in the mirror and see physical changes! Until next week!
